After graduating in Philosophy & Literature then working as a teacher and musician, Matthew did an MA in Radio at the Bournemouth Media School, where he began his radio career on pioneering internet station BIRSt. He won the BBC-SRA Best Newcomer award the following year, the panel saying that his work ‘… had made a huge impression on the judges …’.
Matthew has since appeared in numerous radio dramas and comedies including Resonance FM’s Monkey! and Grim Fandango, in which he played the lead. He has landed various roles in cutting-edge binaural radio shows for 3D HorrorFi, including a grim surgeon in The Autopsy and the lead in The Curse of The Wolfman. Matthew has also worked with multi-award-winning radio station The Wireless Theatre Company, for whom he played Corporal Hooks in their popular radio serial The Strange Case of Springheel’d Jack.
